Personal branding isn’t just about being known; it’s about understanding the unique value you bring to the table.

I had a great opportunity to conduct a training session with the Maksu- ja Tolliamet / Estonian Tax and Customs Board, focusing on the power of personal branding. The goal? To help professionals see their personal brand from a new angle.

“Participants found it both useful and intriguing, sparking a shift in how they perceive their professional image. This was exactly what we aimed for”. I’m always happy to see stereotypes and misconceptions around personal branding dissolve and its true power is recognized.

I started the session with some questions:

  • Do you love what you do?
  • Is your expertise important enough to be shared with a wider audience? Would it make a real difference if your message was delivered to the right audience, understood, and implemented?
  • If there was a guaranteed way to make an impact, would you use it?

I invite you to ask yourself those questions, and if you answer YES to them, personal branding is a strategic and essential tool for you and should not be ignored.

What truly stood out was the engagement and discussion towards the end. The participants were very active, deliberating over the topic and discussing the value of personal branding in their professional lives and as brand ambassadors.

A big thank you to everyone who contributed to this lively discussion, and special thanks to Anneli Villenthal for inviting me.

p.s. I’m getting better at remembering to capture the physical training sessions.
